The recent flooding in Calgary acted as a reminder of the importance of effective risk management and business continuity planning. Business travel professionals, their supplier partners, and their travellers were all tested by the events in June—and many are still experiencing the after-effects.
That’s why GBTA Canada is providing a special session dedicated to the lessons to learn from those who experienced the event “on the front lines” at the Calgary Marriot Downtown Hotel on October 24. The session will include:
- Hosted by a downtown property directly affected by the floods;
- No registration fee to members or non-members;
- Panel and roundtable discussions with real-life lessons learned on traveller tracking, payment solutions, business continuity planning, supply chain viability, crisis management techniques, TMC support and more;
- Moderated by a crisis management specialist;
- All profits from sponsorship dollars will be donated to support relief in the region; and
- 50 percent buyer/supplier attendance.
Seating is limited, so please email paul.tilstone@gbta.org to secure your place. GBTA Canada members will receive first priority at this complimentary event.
