Markham, ON—Supply Chain Canada, one of Canada’s premier events within the supply chain industry, is taking place May 14-15 at the Mississauga Convention Centre. The conference is in its 46th year and the fifth conference to be jointly organized by SCL and CITA.

This year, SCL and CITA have broadened the program content to embrace a more global approach with a mix of practical case studies, panel debates, expert sessions and interactive workshops designed to empower delegates to develop the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the supply chain and logistics industry. Operating across several supply chain and logistic sectors, the conference will help delegates stay in touch with key operational and strategic issues‚ and how they are being addressed by fellow members throughout the global supply chain industry.

Emphasizing the focus on the global impact of the supply chain, the conference agenda will feature several speakers from North America and Europe. Opening keynote speaker Robert Vallender, Head of Physical Logistics for Nestle SA, will discuss the importance of awareness and preparation in relation to forces and events that affect global supply chains. SCL and CITA are also very excited to have the involvement of representatives from the Chinese, Indian and European communities who will discuss their own supply chain challenges.

“Case studies have always been an integral part of our program, we firmly believe our series of case studies, presented in the Technology, HR, Turnaround & Growth and 3PL tracks, will be very relevant to the business needs and professional development of delegates attending the conference this year,” said Alison Toscano, executive director of SCL. “We would like to extend our thanks to CIFFA, PMAC and the Schulich Executive Education Centre for working with us to provide the appropriate and relevant content for our agenda this year. We would also like to thank our media sponsors MM&D, PurchasingB2B and CT&L for their continued support.”

A key component of the Supply Chain Canada Conference is the chance to reconnect with industry peers new and old, sharing experiences, challenges, opportunities and potential solutions. SCL and CITA are pleased once again to have the Halifax Gateway Council sponsor the opening night gala, one of several opportunities delegates will have to network and connect with each other.

The Supply Chain Canada Conference is your chance to hear from global SCM leaders, connect with industry peers and learn how to improve your own supply chain.
